The City is holding a public hearing on WEDNESDAY June 6, 2018 at 4:00PM, in the City Council Chambers, at 201 North E Street, 3rd Floor, San Bernardino, CA. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the City’s Draft 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan, obtain citizens’ comments on current housing, community and economic development needs, homeless prevention/outreach and consider fair housing needs for the Draft 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan.
The City of San Bernardino is an entitlement jurisdiction that receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investments Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds directly from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The City anticipates receiving approximately $3,376,861 in CDBG, $1,385,676 in HOME and $275,207 in ESG funds.
As a condition of receiving these funds the City is required to submit a one year action plan that details the City’s plan for investment of the three federal grants (CDBG, HOME, and ESG). The Draft Annual Action Plan is being developed to program the use of these funds during fiscal year 2018-2019
The PUBLIC COMMENT period of thirty (30) days begins on May 8, 2018 and ends on June 6, 2018, the public is invited to submit written comments on the Draft 2018-2019 Annual Action Plan. Copies of the document are available for public review beginning May 8, 2018 through June 6, 2018 at the following locations:
Citizen comments are welcome; however comments received after the close of the public hearing on June 6, 2018, will not be included in the final Action Plan submitted to HUD.
